Pitch Yourself- Workshop for sustainability minded professionals

OVERVIEW
Being able to concisely and coherently introduce yourself, describe your work experience, and illustrate your future goals is a critical part to successful networking and relationship building. In this two part workshop, you'll create your own effective elevator pitch, and then learn to apply it in sustainability-related career settings.

WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Chrissy

Chrissy Macken is the Founder of Blueprintgreen Career Coaching & Consulting, based in Washington, DC. As a Career Coach, she specializes in helping people break free from toxic work environments and transition into positions they love.

Chrissy is a passionate, lifelong learner, and all too familiar with holding jobs that are demoralizing and draining, that stymied her professional growth. Once she discovered how to rise above the the challenges within her work environment--by setting healthy boundaries and prioritizing herself--she was able to build a career that is the best expression of her strengths and talents. Today, Chrissy is the go-to coach for learning to build resiliency in toxic work environments and reclaim a career of meaning and purpose. Chrissy holds a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Allegheny College.

Zarko

Zarko Palankov is the founder of LeadIN, a social enterprise that enables people to become the leaders they want to grow into. Zarko started his career in the nonprofit sector. He co-founded and built a DC-based nonprofit focusing on connecting and empowering people through language and culture by offering accessible and affordable language classes in more than 60 languages. In addition to growing LeadIN, Zarko consults at the World Bank in the areas of community building and organizational development. He is also a past president of DC Net Impact.

El Tio Mexican Grill in Columbia Heights, DC. We'll be in the back area with our own tables and set-up.

TICKETS
Tickets cost $15 and include the workshop and hors d'oeuvres. This event is capped to ensure that our workshop stays intimate and personalized to your needs.
