  • George Washington University, Duques Hall (Room 451) 2201 G Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20052 United States (map)

GW Net Impact invites DC Net Impact and the greater DC community to participate in the 2018 Food Solutions Challenge. Join us for an informative, engaging event where you will learn about the impact of food loss and its impact on climate change and global hunger. Then, ideate potential solutions with like-minded people in your community, form a team, and submit your idea for a chance to win a paid trip to the Bay Area and up to $5,000 in prize money! All attendees are also entered into a drawing to win an iPad, Beats by Dre headphones, and more.

Top teams win a paid trip to the Bay Area to attend an idea incubator with Dr. Hitendra Patel of the IXL Center. Each finalist team will have multiple opportunities to receive individual coaching on product design and development, business storytelling, and pitching from innovation and strategy experts at IXL and select Net Impact staff representatives. At the end of the idea incubator, the third-place team will win $500, the second-place team will win $1,000, and the first-place team will win the Grand Prize of $5,000!
